Mahalaverse Temple Builders

An invitation for you, dearest soul. Reviving the art of temple building, through reverential play.

There is a calling as old as time. To gather. To offer hearts and hands in service. To build something beautiful, together.

Do you recall it whispering your name? Beckoning you to join in unity. Inviting you to make real the feeling held deep in the core of your being, the remembering that Love always lights the way.

This is that call. To step into your role as a temple builder, and raise a temple in celebration of life, of love, of freedom, and of all that is possible. To fill it with song and dance, so that it shines as a beacon, inspiring others to remember for themselves. To plant the Seed of Hope, the beginnings of a great new garden.

And oh, what fun awaits. Roaring cosmic belly laughs fill the air as we work and play with glowing smiles and sparkling eyes, the very things that set our souls ablaze.

At AfrikaBurn 2027, the first structure of the temple complex will rise. We call it The Seed. It is year one of a four-year vision to bring this temple to life. Since 2024, Mahala has raised tented temples and filled them with immersive sound, story and vibrational technology. Now the page turns, and a new chapter begins. You are invited to be part of that story.

The Seed is a dome of timber and coloured acrylic, 8.7 m across and 6.3 m to the tip of its finial. To build it we are raising R 999 999.

It is a role you have been preparing for your whole life, and perhaps for many lifetimes before. For how often in a lifetime are we called to be a temple builder?

This is an entirely non-profit offering. We give of ourselves freely, just as Unconditional Love is offered to us freely, and we gift this experience to all who wander into our ambitious tale. The Mahalaverse is open, an evolving world that welcomes you into the story of this temple, and lets you craft your own part in it. Freely. For Mahala.

An invitation for you, dearest soul.

At the way in, the Book of Mahala lies open on a carved wooden plinth, with the archetype deck on a stand beside it.
